6 Items Every Lady Needs in Her Wardrobe

Are you learning to be a lady? Or are you raising young girls who are now ladies? Whatever the case, we all use some fashion tips from time to time. For the sake of being fashionable, a lot of ladies have made a few mistakes in their wardrobe choices that are needlessly embarassing. To avoid being arrested by fashion police, here are some everyday items that every lady needs in the wardrobe.

A Functional Work Bag

Most ladies who are organised and like to have everything they need on-the-go like to carry the tote bag. While some think it’s a nursing mother’s choice, most corporate women love it because it can house a mini-laptop, phones, wallet, sanitary items, umbrella, water bottle and extra shoes or clothes in case they have a sleepover at a friend’s place. No wonder a popular tote brand slogan says “Carry Your Life.” You literally carry your life around in a tote bag. Lol. Indeed, the pyramid tote is on a streak for many young ladies.

Manicure Set

Every lady needs a manicure kit that contains nail clippers, nail file, nail scissors and cuticle pusher.

The healthiest type of manicure is a natural nail manicure, also called a classic manicure, which involves cutting and filing your nails down to your desired shape and length. This is followed by a hand massage and application of regular nail polish. It avoids the use of acrylics, gels and excessive filing and buffing which can weaken the nails in the long run. When you stick to a natural manicure, you can prioritise the health of your real nails and encourage them to grow healthy and strong. Also, when you do it yourself, you wouldn’t have to spend extra cash at your nail spa.

Perfumes

In this humid climate in most parts of Africa, you can really use a lot of perfumes in addition to your hygiene routines. Due to certain medications and food choices, some people may appear to have a strong body or sweat odour. Whether or not you belong to this category or not, endeavour to invest in perfumes- preferably subtle, non-toxic ones. Also, not all perfumes should be combined at once so stick to the one that works and avoid cheap ones because they tend to be as irritating as fake accents.

Essential Oils

Investing in essential oils is for long-term benefits. While others struggle with wrinkles as they age, you simply glow along with your years. Asides the skin that benefits from judicious use of oils, your scalp needs some oily pampering too. Many have benefited from coconut, argan and jojoba oils. You may check with a cosmetologist on what’s best for your hair and skin types.

Band Aid

This may come as a surprise but if you have ever fallen in public, then you’d appreciate the gift of band aid. It comes in handy when you have minor cuts and bruises. Yes, it’s an essential item.

Flat Shoes or Slippers

It doesn’t matter if you are driven around. It matters when you have a pair of flat shoes or slippers handy in case you feel tired and need to walk a little longer than necessary. It’s a wardrobe essential. But if you prefer to run in heels, then it’s ‘bye Felicia.’
