Five Kinds of Food That Increase Happiness

The quest for a healthy lifestyle has plunged many into eating the food they don’t really like. From bland and tasteless to dairy-free, health freaks are living in fear of consuming food that are deemed inimical to their well-being. To make things worse, the economy is biting harder than normal and survival is more important than culinary satisfaction for many.

But this weekend must be different because happiness is key to survival. You need to feed yourself some food that increases happiness. Here are some food that you can add to your menu:

Ice-cream
Yay! Children love it. Adults dig it. Ladies scream for ice-cream. Just get your waffles, nuts, coconut shavings and other toppings ready and all your happiness hormones- serotonin, dopamine, endorphins, and oxytocin will be right behind you. Ice-cream is great for screen time and bonding hours. Rumours have it that married men apologise with flavour-filled ice-cream bowls and if it doesn’t work for you, go for therapy.

Grilled Fish
Most self-confessed fish haters can’t resist the aroma and taste of grilled fish. Some folks think it’s just meant for communal feeding but even a loner can enjoy grilled fish when you pair it up with wine or whisky. But don’t be greedy. You can invite a friend over for a treat or you can take the treat to your friendly neighbours. And if you’d rather enjoy it alone, keep the leftovers refrigerated and use them as a recipe for noodles or any other pasta of your choice.

Fried Meat
Doctor says don’t eat beef. Or fried things. I know, right? But try to add some slices of cucumber, cabbage and tomatoes. That’s how to turn a potentially bad food into a healthy meal so that you don’t appear gaunt in public.

Peppersoup
Perhaps the most healthy choice you can make, pepper soup is a time-tested happiness meal you can try. Usually, it is the spiciness that reduces the happiness for many. After all, what’s the joy in spending more hours in the toilet than on your work table or bed? Let pepper soup make you happy by adding just a moderate amount of pepper and pairing with milky drinks that instantaneously calm the tongue.

Sugarcane
And I mean just that stem food plant so keep your imagination guided. Sugarcane is very rich in alkali and if you add this to your diet, you will have the right PH value and your surgeons will be less anxious about your inadequacies. But beyond careful not to damage your gums with those stems. Eat with utmost caution.
