This Weekend, 1-54 Contemporary African Art Ignites Marrakech

This return is set to be wild. Art connoisseurs are moving towards one destination this weekend- Marrakech.

1-54 Contemporary African Art Fair opens to the public this Saturday, February 10 and Sunday February 11.

For the first time, 1-54 will take place at La Mamounia and multidisciplinary art space DaDa in the heart of the bustling Medina. This exciting expansion is said to be a testament to the fair’s success and commitment to the dynamic Moroccan art scene.

This edition will welcome no fewer than 27 exhibitors including 14galleries from the African continent, eight of which are based in Morocco.

One of the highlights of the fair is the talk on ‘Art and Fashion: Weaving Heritage into Aesthetics’ organisers by Instituto Marangoni at La Mamounia Business Centre. For the next two years, Black Rock Global Arts Foundation will be the Special Projects Partner at all editions of the fair.

Meanwhile, 1-54 will return to New York for its 10th edition running from May 2nd to 5th.
