Trailing a period of high expectations, the book ‘Fulfilling Purpose’ by Kendi Aig-Imoru, was finally launched at the Radisson Blu VI, Lagos amidst eulogies for the book and its author.
The event was a celebration of finding purpose, bringing together avid readers, and the author’s family and friends to witness the unveiling of her much-anticipated book.
The highlight of the evening was the grand unveiling of ‘Fulfilling Purpose’. Following the book unveiling, the author Kendi Aig-Imoru, engaged in reading excerpts to the delight of the numerous audiences drawn from different strata of the society. Before then, the author in her opening remarks had welcomed the guests with heartfelt gratitude and shared insights into the journey behind her current book.
The author’s book reading session set the right pace and tone for an evening rife with appreciation for the book.The event also featured speeches from the Chairman and guest speakers.
With the opening prayers said by Pastor Shola Oladipo, other guests in attendance included: Mrs Yemisi Ransome-Kuti (head of the Kuti family), RTD AIG Tunji Alapini, Mrs Anyiam Osigwe and others too numerous to mention.
The Chairman of the occasion Mr Gambo Iyere Aliyui , Deputy Controller (Customs) Tin can Island Port, thanked God for the opportunity of witnesing the auspicious event.
“Today is a milestone. Today is a remarkable day. Today is noteworthy because we have come to celebrate Kendi who has written a very laudable book.”
“This book questions the core existence of life,” the event compere and book reviewer Mr Reginald Chiedu Ofodile said while also describing the book as an insightful study of christian theology. “The words of praise and encouragement underscored the significance of the book in Nigeria today and the global community,” he added.
The book is an invitation to work in purpose, walk in purpose, live in purpose and fullfil purpose. The author Kendi spoke on writing the book “as a journey to discovering the essence of life. It answers the fundamental questions of existence: Why are we here? What are we doing, and where are we going to from here?”
The attendees left with autographed copies of the book and an overwhelming enthusiasm. The launch marked the beginning of a new chapter for the book ‘Fulfilling Purpose’.
