How to Enjoy Six Best Nature’s Gifts

Out of your busy schedule, do you sometimes take a break to enjoy some of the gifts of nature? There’s more to life than chasing money and dreams. Some people don’t even live long to enjoy all that they had worked up. Imagine this scenario: you have worked all your life to buy one of the latest televisions but you are hardly able to watch anything on it. Even when you fly, you are asleep. If you don’t consciously set your mind to it, you may be missing out on nature’s priceless gifts. Let’s walk you through some of these gifts and how best you can enjoy them.
Water
As the legendary Afrobeat musician, Fela Anikulapo-Kuti once sang, “water no get enemy,” water is indeed inevitable for survival. When served at room temperature, you are doing yourself a whole lot of good as you shield yourself from cold while you protect your lungs from irreversible damage. When served slightly cold, you will feel refreshed after a long day inside the scorching sun. But you are damaging your teeth gradually. Old age will tell.
Sleep
There’s nothing sexy about not having enough time for sleep. People often boast about how little they sleep as if there’s any accolade received by insomnia patients. If you find it difficult to fall asleep, it has a lot to do with your mind, your mental health. Take practical steps to recognise what the causes are. Are you working too hard? Are you nursing a child without help or spousal support? Are you depressed? Are you sex starved? Are you on sleeping pills?
Whenever you fall short of sleeping enough hours at night, take a siesta and you’ll surely feel refreshed. Never form the habit of taking sleeping pills, it will only get worse. Many have died from overdose just because the normal dose failed to make them sleep. Avoid it as much as possible.
Pursue wholesome activities that can take your mind off casual sex if you don’t want to indulge. Hiking and volunteering can be very rewarding.
Fresh Air
Fresh air simply means outdoor air that is clean and free from pollution or other contaminants. When you expose your lungs to fresh air, and the scents of flowers and plants, can help to relieve stress and anxiety. Oxygen is said to affect the levels of serotonin released in the body, thus contributing to relaxation.
Sun
You would probably not appreciate the African sun until you experience a very harsh winter. The sun is meant to provide a natural source of light and lately, alternative energy.  It also keeps us warm during cold weather, helping us to dry our clothes and foodstuffs. In the area of healthcare,  TB patients of all ages had been sent to rest in sunny locations to return to good health. Known as Phototherapy, it quickly emerged as a popular medical treatment not only for TB, but also for rheumatic disorders, diabetes, gout, chronic ulcers and wounds. Remember that overexposure to sun can increase the risk of skin cancer.
Animal
Do you know that the interaction between people and their pets is linked to several health benefits, including: Decreased blood pressure, cholesterol levels, triglyceride levels, feelings of loneliness, anxiety, and symptoms of PTSD? Pets give us a sense of calm, comfort, and safety, making us feel better emotionally. Pets give us a precious gift of unconditional love.
Beautiful Landscape
Besides the picturesque quality, a beautiful landscape creates a sense of home, and helps us feel connected to the natural world. A beautiful landscape can be a great romantic get-away or a nice idea for a date. If you are handy with camera, you’ll love every bit of it.
