In Nigeria, Entertainers Stay Vigilant for National Election
Yesterday, Africa’s most populous nation, Nigeria held its presidential election with popular entertainers and cultural shapers keeping guard over the process.
The entertainers include musicians, comedians, actors, comperes and influencers who stayed up all night to watch the process of collation. Many of the volunteer entertainers who flew into Nigeria to carry out their civic duties reported live from the polling units with the aid of mobile phones.
Some of these entertainers include Omoni Oboli, Chidi Mokeme, Uti Nwanchukwu, Falz, Mr Macaroni, Chioma Akpotha amongst others.
The results are being collated at the moment and many of the celebrities have returned home to await the final results from the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
